but i can understand though, the thing about being kids is that, it takes time for them to understand that everyone have nuance and just because other people have different opinions and ways of doing things from you, doesn't mean they're terrible people...

it's just like rioh and yodaka's whole... thing.

that man literally sees rioh as his own nephew, yet this is the guy who got some of The Most terrible communication skill in the story, and every time he talk to rioh, he just end up hurting that kid... like the beef is so one-sided, i'm glad rioh is able to meet tsukasa and gradually get over his insecurities when it comes to comparing his own success to hikaru herself and yodaka jun lol

also, inori's got her own beef with yodaka too lmao i hope tsurumaikada will let these two confront each other again, maybe without tsukasa to protect her... maybe then we'll see a new side of them 🤔🤔🤔

Been scouring the notes of the posts about @staff 's latest post, and apparently some Twitter refugees are indeed confused and not pleased that this is not Twitter and things work differently here.

But I can't fathom why that would be a reason to try and change the core functioning of Tumblr. When in Rome etc. How lazy is it to come to a new place and expect everything to be the same? Sure, it's okay to be confused and not like it, new things are always a little hard at first, after all. But how is that a reason to rush up to these users with reassurances and promises to overhaul everything for them?

When I went on Twitter I found it utterly baffling and quite hostile. And then I got used to it. I still don't like it, barely use it and only for the nsfw artists that had to leave here with the porn ban, but the point is I understand it, now. It wasn't at all less "difficult" to get a handle of than Tumblr is, these people are just confronted with something new.

I was lurking on Tumblr long before I took the leap and made an account. I was, even then, lurking for a long time before I started engaging and blogging in earnest. Had to understand the culture and unspoken rules first.

But everything must happen quick quick quick now, doesn't it? Things must be soft, pre-chewed, no effort required.

But things do take time and effort sometimes. It's not a bad thing to remember, not at all. It's just the way the universe works. Besides, others have made that point, but alienating a stable, dedicated user base in hopes of catering to a new, fickle one is objectively self-sabotage.

learning that we do in fact have a list of the crimes that made the masters exiles which led to them joining up w/ the bazaar is p cool, and it’s a neat list. some of them i’m not sure who they match to and others feel p clear (candles is runt, happles has GOTTA be the treachery one) and then the Most Obvious is absolutely wines bc we literally have the “fell from king to beggar” text in cricket anyone

what Gets me about that is that it means wines went from higher on the chain (whether that’s judgement or smth else) and got cast down into curatorhood. and as a curator, it immediately became an exile because it failed badly enough to be turned into a curator. like. hooooooly shit, wines really did Need the bazaar. this was fr its only chance, huh?
